All of us at the Carriage House Café would like to thank you for considering us for your special event.  It will be our goal to provide you with the highest level of service. Following are the basic terms and conditions of rentals. Please review the terms and conditions below, check our online calendar for availability, and then fill out a request form.

Basic rental for events is up to four hours, with availability typically up to two hours immediately prior the event for set-up. Any rentals with catering or bar service will require additional fees for event wait-staff or bartenders as detailed later.

HayloftTables & Seating: The hayloft is equipped with tables and chairs for 60 people. For larger parties, rentals (from Rick rentals) are available and can be coordinated by the Carriage House Café as needed.

*During the summers there is additional seating in the garden and on the balcony. Up to 15-20 people. Please note: There is no smoking in the garden, balcony, or in the parking lot of Carriage House.

Flatware and glassware:  Is included for in-house catered events only.

Sound equipment: Carriage House Café staff must operate sound equipment. If damage occurs by renter, the renter will be responsible for paying the insurance deductible. Any damage will be reported to the renter and billed within 3 days of events completion.

Catering: Catering is subject to the all Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions as well as the provisions of the License Agreement. For parties of 25 or more, Clients may use The Heights Café, Serendipity Catering, Word of Mouth Catering, and Dano's on Cayuga. Contact information will be furnished as needed and the Carriage House Café will help to coordinate as needed.

*An $85 Venue-Cleaning Fee will be charged whenever an outside caterer is used.

HayloftAlcohol: The Carriage House Café is licensed to serve beer and wine only. Hard liquor and keg beer are not permitted on the premises. Beverages can be served through any of the following procedures:

*With the exception of a cash bar, beer and wine must be paid for when the final guest count is determined and will be coordinated with caterer, at least 10 days before the event. If the Renter’s alcohol order is increased during the event, alcohol charges must be settled immediately following the event.

Servers/Bartenders: When outside caterers are used, the caterer will provide the kitchen staff and may provide the wait staff/service staff. Service staff can be hired from the Carriage House Café (for an event catered by an approved caterer) if needed. Service staff (servers/bartenders) will be provided for a fee of $125 per server/bartender per four-hour event, and at $20 per hour for any additional time. Bartenders will provide services at the bar only. Servers will serve food and drink and bus tables.

Additional bussers may be provided for $80 each for a four-hour event, and at $10 per hour for any additional time.

HayloftOnly the Carriage House Café may provide the bartenders and may provide servers at the request of the renter. Service staff will typically be staffed at the following levels:

Bartenders: one bartender for every 50 people.
Servers for reception-style buffets: one server per 50 guests.
Servers for sit-down buffets: one server per 15 guests.

Deposits: A deposit of 50% of the venue rental fee is required to reserve the Carriage House Café or the Hayloft more than 30 days in advance. All non-catering fees are due in full 10 days before the event, and all alcohol fees are due 10 days before the reserved date. A standard damage/security deposit of $100 will be billed with rental fees, the security deposit will be refunded, minus charges for any additional cleaning or repairs, within 10 business days following the event. Any damage exceeding the security deposit will be the liability of the renter. Any damage will be reported to the renter and billed within 3 days of events completion.
